I hope this helps some other poor soul out there who just want to cut things into pieces. Add's some Kill Bill like bloody mayhem to large fights.

If you want even more carnage, you can add this mod for blood which works for me, its literally just one little file you drop into the same base folder, its called Bloody Dismemberment, and it's pretty gross in a good way. This doesn't affect how much damage is dealt or received, it just tells the game that upon death, the last limb struck is cut off the body. Upon stumbling onto this "solution", every kill results in a lost limb, so far Iv'e seen arms, footies, and heads removed, and even torso's cut in half in the 10 minutes I spent testing it out. figure out what value you like, I guess is, what I'm trying to say.įinally, one last point worth mentioning- I can't say for certain how this works online yet as I've yet to try it until later today when I host a server- it may be that the people connecting will have to also mod their file to match, or maybe not.

Feel free to experiment, perhaps you will find that you only want limbs chopped off.50% of the time, or something. I chose the value 1000, but didn't test out higher values. If you want, before you begin you can make a copy in case you want to revert changes. Once you finish making the changes, save the file.
I believe jaconfig will have 2 dismember related entries and jampconfig will have 3 you have to find. If they have the word dismember, you will change them. They will not be the exact same number values as my examples, it doesn't matter. Use the find function (ctrl+f) and search for "dismember" (without quotation marks)Įvery instance of dismember that comes up will be similar to this: cfg filetype with wordpad, your just doing this once. Make sure you uncheck where it asks you to open this kind of file with this program everytime. (You may want to just start with the jampconfig.cfg file if you only want to see the change in multiplayer.) These are what you need to open and make changes to. You can also just delete the files, then verify your game cache/integrity and steam should download the file you for brand new.in theory. Of course, my quick fix can be reverted back to normal at any time, provided you make a copy of the file(s) you will modify.
I only play the multiplayer aspect of the game so to me it was inconsequential. This may cause unforeseen problems in the singleplayer, perhaps making certain enemies behave weirdly, as in, be cut in half when the game actually didnt want them to be because hey, they are in a cutscene after you defeat him, and now he's talking to you as a set of legs without an upper body.
I did not test this thoroughly with the single player. I've tried several mods, and using the command console in-game in dozens of different ways, and they simply didn't work for me. This is working as of, and for me is the only solution to work. This is specifically for multiplayer, I don't know if it works on single player as it should throughout the whole game, but playing one of the first missions in single player I can see enemies heads and torsos flying when I cut into them, so there's that. In case you haven't gotten it to work yet, this is how i got my Steam and Non steam version of Jedi Academy to have working dismemberment in multiplayer WITHOUT a mod.
